Zinda Music Group is an initiative created in July 2017. Comprised of a diverse group of students from different cultures, ethnicities, races, and religions, the Zinda Music Group performs classical Qawwali, a centuries-old genre of music from South Asia.

Through workshops, Zinda Music Group invites participants to learn how to sing traditional Qawwali music in Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, and other languages. Participants are also given the opportunity to learn how to play traditional instruments, such as the tabla, the harmonium, and the dholak.

Popularized by performers such as the Sabri Brothers and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Qawwali has been declared, "a dying art" in recent years. Zinda, or "alive", strives to bringing humanity together by building cultural bridges through the art of music.

With hundreds of thousands of online views, more than 2000 likes, and hundreds of shares, Zinda continues to keep its movement "alive" today.
